
The New Orleans Police Department is actively seeking assistance from the public to quickly help find a suspect implicated in several cases of domestic violence. The man, identified as Vernon Montgomery, is facing accusations of domestic aggravated second degree battery, theft, and has two counts of domestic battery linked to his name.
With a serious tone echoing the gravity of the charges, the NOPD released information stating that, last Saturday night, around 8:20 p.m., Montgomery allegedly carried out these violent acts in the 6700 block of Tara Lane. This event is not the only mark on Montgomery's record; he is wanted for prior incidents of domestic violence and also holds the additional burden of parole violations according to NOPD News.
Vernon Montgomery is described as a Black male, born on August 24, 1967. As the search intensifies, authorities are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward. Addressing the urgency of the matter, a NOPD spokesperson highlighted that it is crucial for the safety of the community to locate individuals who repeatedly commit violent acts in domestic settings.
