
In Northwest Atlanta, officers responded to a reported shooting at JJ’s Food Mart around 7:20 p.m. yesterday. According to a press release from the Atlanta Police Department, they secured a crime scene a few streets away at 493 Cairo St NW, where the victim had already been transported to Grady Hospital with a gunshot wound to the cheek.
The incident appears to have stemmed from an altercation between a male suspect and the female victim at the 507 Joseph E Lowery Blvd location, the investigation is active, investigators piecing together a mosaic of events that led to the shooting, preliminary findings hint at a dispute gone tragically awry.
