
Gunfire was reported on the streets of the Bronx on Monday, resulting in a teenager being injured. The New York City Police Department is currently seeking a suspect connected to the incident, which happened around 5:24 p.m. near the intersection of Washington Avenue and East 170th Street.
According to a social media post from NYPD Crimestoppers, the armed suspect they are trying to identify reportedly fired a weapon, striking the 17-year-old male victim twice. The injuries were described precisely to include one shot to the right forearm and another to the right pelvis. The search is on to quickly find and apprehend the shooter, to prevent them from possibly hurting anyone else.
The 42nd Precinct detectives are leading the investigation, urging the public to come forward with any information that could lead to the resolution of this case. The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, received immediate medical attention and is now reportedly in stable condition.
