The Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies took Milton Jose Rodriguez into custody following the alarming discovery made by the boy’s stepfather, who found Rodriguez and his stepson in a compromising situation when he arrived home early Sunday afternoon, Local10 reports.

Authorities were alerted after the stepfather saw an unexpected vehicle in his driveway and upon entering his stepson's room, which was locked, he discovered Rodriguez naked and the victim, who quickly covered himself with boxer shorts, he said this to authorities, he confirmed the door was locked and Rodriguez was in the nude, when he knocked on the door. Rodriguez claimed to have met the 16-year-old on the social networking app Grinder, believing him to be 19 as stated in his online profile, according to the victim's account to the deputies, as reported by Local10.

The victim admitted to the deputies that he had misrepresented his age on the app and had arranged for Rodriguez to visit his home; additionally, Rodriguez had proposed to pay the minor $50 for sexual activities, according to the victim's statements. The youth accepted initially but had second thoughts just before the stepfather came back to the house, as per the arrest report.
