
Oklahoma City is on alert as police actively search for a suspect in a deadly stabbing incident. The stabbing, which occurred on Friday at a homeless encampment by Robinson Avenue near Southwest 15th Street, left one individual dead, prompting an immediate investigation.
Authorities have identified River Curnett as the suspect and were quick to issue a warrant for his arrest on charges of first-degree murder and domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, with a bond set at $10,000, as reported by OKC FOX News. In the wake of the incident, Curnett is believed to have attempted to hastily flee the state, last seen in the vicinity of Will Rogers International Airport.
The Oklahoma City Police Department has reached out to the public asking for assistance to locate Curnett. According to KOCO News, if anyone sees the suspect, they are urged "to not approach him" and to "call 911 immediately." The current status of Curnett's possible armament remains uncertain.
With the suspect still at large, the police have set up a hotline for tips. Those with any information that could potentially lead to his arrest are encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 405-235-7300 or the Homicide Tip Line at 405-297-1200, as per information obtained by KFOR News. The police have not yet released any additional information about the stabbing as the investigation continues.
