A previously issued Amber Alert in Oklahoma City has been canceled after a missing 14-year-old boy was found safe today. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol confirmed the cancellation, stating that the child has been safely located, and the suspect is now in custody, according to News9.
KFOR reported that the suspect, identified as 40-year-old Timothy Ross, was arrested after a warrant was issued for one count of child stealing.
The teen, Rouse, was last seen on Tuesday. Initial information from OHP described him as 5'3", 96 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. He was last seen wearing a turquoise shirt, blue jeans, and blue Nike shoes. Ross was described as 5'6", 135 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes, according to FOX 23.
According to an affidavit, the teen’s biological mother told authorities that Ross was acting erratically. After a long argument, she allowed him to take Rouse to a nearby 7-Eleven.
With the teen now back with family and the suspect in custody, the Amber Alert has officially ended.
