One Seriously Injured and Trapped in Truck After Two-Vehicle Crash at Tazewell Pike and East Emory Road Intersection

A collision in Knox County brought emergency responders to a screeching halt at the confluence of Tazewell Pike and East Emory Road. Rural Metro Fire reported responding to the two-vehicle crash around 8:45 p.m. yesterday. Upon their arrival, one individual was discovered entrapped within the crushed confines of their truck, creating a scene all too familiar to the first responders, "Intersections are the number one location for serious car accidents," Jeff Bagwell of Rural Metro lamented, as detailed by WVLT.

Firefighters worked with diligence against the clock, managing to extract the victim, who was subsequently dispatched to the local hospital brandishing injuries that were substantiated as serious, as informed by a Rural Metro spokesperson, and echoed by WATE.
