The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department stated that officers responded to the scene after receiving a call from Fire Alarm last Sunday at approximately 8:30 a.m. Three of the victims have been identified as 67-year-old Wendell Simmons of Bel-Ridge, MO; 33-year-old Justin Wells of St. Louis City, MO; and 34-year-old Ashley Cardwell, also of St. Louis City, MO. Authorities are working to confirm the identity of the fourth victim.
The discovery was made during a search of the residence, where officers found two women and two men, all with apparent gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded and pronounced all four individuals dead at the scene. A homicide investigation has been initiated to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Authorities also reported finding firearms and suspected narcotics at the location.
