In recognition of unwavering service and exemplary performance, Deputy Michael Sims has been honored with the title of Officer of the Quarter for April 2025 by the Roane County Sheriff's Office (RCSO).
According to an announcement on the RCSO Facebook page, the deputy has consistently displayed commendable work ethics, often taking on overtime and assuming responsibilities as an Officer In Charge (OIC). His ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations has been particularly lauded. "He comes in with a great attitude every day," said RCSO Lieutenant Ashley Works in a statement detailed on their social media.
Sims' role as OIC has brought along its share of "stress and struggles," but has evidently also showcased his leadership and organizational abilities. The statement from Works ended with an appreciative note: "This award is well deserved. Thank you Deputy Sims!" as noted by the RCSO.
