For the second time in less than a week, residents at The Lake House at Martin's Landing apartment complex in Roswell experienced a water outage due to another water main break over the Memorial Day weekend. According to Atlanta News First, the complex, managed by 29th Street Living and owned by 29th Street—both based in Chicago—is assessing and working to repair the damage.
The outage occurred just days after a previous incident had been resolved. In response, the apartment management distributed bottled water and offered to reimburse up to $200 per night for hotel accommodations. Management also acknowledged the ongoing disruption in an email to residents.
The Roswell Fire Department confirmed to FOX 5 Atlanta that fire protection would not be affected during the repair period, thanks to a contingency plan.
Some residents have decided to leave the complex due to repeated service issues. Brittany Taylor, a resident of five years, told Atlanta News First that she has given notice to vacate, citing concerns about communication and response efforts.
Repairs were expected to be completed by tomorrow following the holiday. Management stated that they remain committed to supporting residents and will continue to provide updates. Rent credits and alternative accommodations were offered as part of the response.
