
From May 5-11, the City of Sacramento received 811 calls to its 311 service about unsheltered individuals. The Incident Management Team "closed" 788 calls, indicating the situations were handled or resolved before City staff arrived, as reported by the City of Sacramento.
The Department of Community Response enrolled 55 people into databases to connect them with shelter and other resources. During the same week, 30 individuals were placed into housing at the City’s Roseville Road campus or the Outreach and Engagement Center, according to the City of Sacramento.
On Tuesday, the Roseville Road campus had no available Pallet homes or trailers, the Outreach and Engagement Center had 23 open spaces, and other City-funded shelters averaged 24 openings. The City removed 193,120 pounds of trash. An online dashboard is available to track the City’s outreach, compliance, and cleanup efforts related to homelessness since September 2023, as stated by the City of Sacramento.
