Scottsdale Police are actively searching for three individuals linked to a bus stop shooting that shook the community last Saturday evening. According to the reports from FOX 10 Phoenix, the incident involved two men and a woman at the intersection of Scottsdale Road and Main Street around 7:40 p.m.
The situation quickly escalated when "a suspect assaulted the victim and fled out the bus door, followed by the victim. A second suspect shot the victim, and all three in the group fled the scene," as Sgt. Allison Sempsis informed FOX 10 Phoenix. The victim, fortunately, was able to quickly be treated at a hospital for the gunshot wound and has since been released.
In an effort to help track down the suspects, the Scottsdale Police Department has released a photograph of the three, previously unidentified individuals, highlighting the male in the middle as the alleged shooter. The community, now on high alert, is urged to come forward with any information that might aid in the capture of the suspects.
Further details from AZFamily indicate that the ordeal began as a dispute on a bus before spinning into the violent episode that concluded at the bus stop. A particular point of interest in the investigation is the suspect wearing a black hoodie, identified as the individual who allegedly opened fire. The Scottsdale Police encourage anyone with information to call their tip line at 480-312-TIPS.
