According to Action News 5, the incident occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. at Waterford Place Apartments in the southeast part of Shelby County. Detectives are piecing together the events that led to the violence which resulted in the injury of an adult female.
The details surrounding the shooting are still emerging, and as per the authorities, fleeing the scene by vehicle were multiple suspects linked to this shooting. WREG reports that Shelby County deputies responded to a call about shots fired at the 8100 block of Waterford Circle following an attempted robbery. The wounded woman, located at the scene, was swiftly transported to the hospital; her wounds were serious, but not life-threatening.

As reported by Local Memphis, officials at the Shelby County Sheriff's Office confirmed the suspects connected with the shooting fled the scene in a car.
