A recent traffic stop in Southbridge led to the arrest of three individuals on firearm and drug-related charges.
According to the Southbridge Police Department's Facebook post, last month, detectives observed Rodrick Campbell, who was wanted for possession of a firearm without a license, interacting with Jalexus Morales and two others on Brochu Street. Campbell handed a firearm to Morales before both entered a vehicle, prompting a traffic stop on North Street. During the stop, police recovered a second loaded firearm, additional ammunition, a stun gun, suspected crack cocaine, fentanyl, drug packaging materials, and cash believed to be proceeds from drug sales.
Rodrick Campbell, 23, faces multiple firearm and drug charges, including possession of large capacity weapons and narcotics. Jalexus Morales, 25, is charged with multiple firearms violations and intent to distribute crack cocaine. Nayrelis Fernandez, 19, is charged with possession of an unlicensed stun gun. Bail was set at $15,000 for Campbell, $10,000 for Morales, and $500 for Fernandez. All three were held at police headquarters and are scheduled for arraignment in Dudley District Court.
