If you're planning a nighttime drive through Springfield this week, heads up: the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has announced that the on-ramp from Campbell Avenue to westbound U.S. Route 60, also known as James River Freeway, will be closed for construction work. This closure will occur from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. on the nights of Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, specifically on June 3, 4 & 5, as per MoDOT information.
The construction is part of an effort to install a new high friction surface treatment on the freeway. While, the work is underway, lane closures on westbound Route 60 will also be in effect. Although the Route 60 and Campbell Avenue will remain open, expect disruptions along these routes.
