
On Thursday, in Sunnyvale, gunfire erupted on a residential street. According to the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety, their officers responded to a call at around 7:42 PM regarding multiple gunshots on the 900 block of S. Wolfe Road. A man was discovered outside a home, clinging to life after sustaining gunshot wounds.
The victim, an adult male whose identity has not yet been released, received immediate medical attention from the officers who first arrived on the scene. Despite the urgency of their lifesaving efforts, the man was pronounced dead, another statistic in an epidemic of violence that continues to scar our communities. The Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety believes the perpetrator may have been known to the victim. The suspect remains at large, and an active pursuit to apprehend the individual persists.
Investigation of the homicide is currently underway, with Detective E. Rosette at the helm. The Department is contacting the public for any leads that could swiftly bring justice to this case.
