
Boston Police Department has reported the arrest of a suspect following a stabbing incident at Massachusetts General Hospital this morning. According to the police report, officers from District A-1 (Downtown) detained 56-year-old John Huddleston of Boston in connection with the violent event that disrupted the sense of safety in the renowned healthcare facility.
Officers were dispatched around 8:32 a.m. after an initial call about a person with a knife escalated quickly to a reported stabbing. While on their way to the scene, the officers received a suspect description. Upon their arrival, Huddleston was found and apprehended in the hospital's lobby vestibule, where also a crime scene was established.
Now in custody, John Huddleston is set to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on charges of mayhem and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
