
A Nashville man was arrested after leading police on a foot chase in Mt. Juliet, as reported by the Mt. Juliet Police Department. The incident began when an officer noticed a suspicious vehicle that had been left running unattended for more than an hour at the Providence Kroger yesterday afternoon. Investigation revealed the car was displaying a false license plate. WSMV stated that when the driver returned to the vehicle, he fled on foot as officers attempted to engage him.
The chase, as running across Providence Parkway and ending near Jonathan's Grill, resulted in the suspect's capture. The individual, a 23-year-old male from Nashville, now faces multiple charges. "We appreciate our vigilant officers, always keeping an eye on our community so that our community can thrive, feel safe, and live without fear," the Mt. Juliet Police said in a social media post. Following the man's arrest, officers discovered that the vehicle he was driving had been unregistered for over 18 months.

According to WKRN, the charges laid against the man include evading arrest, resisting arrest, driving without a license, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The authorities also seized the temporary tag found on the vehicle. The name of the suspect has not been released to the public. "We focus on crime, so our residents and visitors don’t have to deal with crime", said the MJPD.
