
A 15-year-old boy was grazed by a bullet during a shooting incident in the Walnut Park West neighborhood. The incident took place last night, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
Police reported to a "Shots Fired into a Dwelling" call at around 9:50 p.m. in the 5300 block of Riverview. There, they discovered damage to the Miami Grill restaurant from the gunfire. Not long after, a hospital got in touch with the officers regarding a young shooting victim who had arrived seeking treatment, as per St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
The teen, whose injuries were not life-threatening, was less than forthcoming with the authorities. He indicated that he was near Thekla Avenue when he heard the shots and subsequently dropped to the ground. The injured youth was transported to the hospital by private means.
The authorities have not yet released any statements regarding potential motives or arrests in connection to the event.
