A grisly scene unfolded last Saturday evening in Drummonds, Tennessee, when a woman was discovered walking down Hwy. 59W, drenched in her own blood. The Tipton County Sheriff's Department responded to the emergency, with deputies arriving to find the victim in dire need of medical attention due to a severe beating. An investigation led to the subsequent arrest of the woman's son, named Dylan Petrizzo, for his alleged involvement in the violent assault. Sheriff Shannon Beasley's social media post laid out the chilling details of the crime.
Upon discovery, first responders quickly administered medical aid and transported the victim, suffering from severe injuries and head trauma, to The Med. It was the home at the 11000 block of Hwy. 59W that served as the crime scene, where deputies noted clear signs of an altercation and located Petrizzo hidden in a nearby wooded area. It was ascertained that Petrizzo, in a fit of rage, had launched the assault subsequent to their arrival at the residence.
Dylan Petrizzo, age 27, of Pea Vine Rd. in Middleton, has been now been charged with Aggravated Domestic Assault (w/injury) and is being held on a $500,000 bond. According to Sheriff Beasley, "To see the trauma this son inflicted on his own mother is unthinkable. Petrizzo is exactly where he belongs for now, and that place is in the Tipton County jail." Petrizzo is set to appear before Judge M.O. Eckel on June 10 at 9:00 a.m.
