Universal Horror Unleashed will open on August 14 at AREA15 in Las Vegas, featuring a new haunted house experience based on the 1974 classic, "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre." The attraction will follow the movie’s grim narrative in a linear sequence, taking guests through iconic settings like a Texas cemetery and a decaying home where Leatherface and his family await, according to News 3LV.
Leatherface will be the main focus in a new horror attraction based on the original film. The experience is designed to follow the original movie "beat-for-beat." Show producer Sean Chung stated, “from the moment you walk in, you will be transported outside of your reality into the world of universal horror,” as reported by 8 News Now. Design manager Stephen Morrison mentioned the intensity of the attraction will match the film, with guests being pursued by Leatherface.
Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas will feature several haunted houses, including “Blumhouse's The Exorcist: Believer” and “Scarecrow: The Reaping,” as well as Universal Monsters, as mentioned by Universal Horror Unleashed. The event will also include themed entertainment areas and food options called ‘Rough Cuts’ small plates. Tickets are available now, priced between $69 and $149 depending on the date.
