Franklin, Massachusetts saw a significant vehicular collision on Grove Street last evening, leading to serious injuries for three individuals and an extensive ongoing investigation. NBC Boston reports that Franklin Police received multiple emergency calls about the crash at approximately 6:22 p.m., and responders arrived to find two vehicles involved with victims trapped and badly injured.
The stretch of Grove Street, between Beaver Street and Forge Hill Road remains closed to traffic as the scene undergoes meticulous examination by local police, Massachusetts State Police collision reconstruction analysts, and officials from the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office. According to 7 News, all three victims were transported to local hospitals: two via ambulance, and one, in a demonstration of the crash's severity, had to be airlifted, according to police officials.
One pickup truck was found facing the wrong direction with significant front-end damage, while a sedan was located nearby with deployed airbags next to a business complex sign. Police have not yet released details about the victims or the cause of the crash.
