A shooting incident in Millington has resulted in the injury of two women and the subsequent arrests of two individuals. As reported by Action News 5, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that the event took place last month, on April 16 at around 8:45 p.m. in the area of the 7600 block of Bethuel Road.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered three victims, two of whom had sustained gunshot wounds. According to SCSO, one of the women was swiftly transported to Regional One Hospital due to life-threatening injuries to her torso and arm. In contrast, the second woman received a graze wound to her head but was treated at the scene and released. WREG reports state that the third woman at the scene was unharmed.

Investigations led to the identification and apprehension of 40-year-old Lenell Gatewood, who is now facing charges of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. As part of the same case, 45-year-old Angela Arnold has also been arrested and charged with accessory to attempted first-degree murder and two counts of accessory to aggravated assault. These arrests stemmed from an arrest warrant executed at the 8000 block of Wilkinsville Road. The Shelby County Sheriff's Office provided a statement to FOX13 Memphis, indicating Arnold was present during Gatewood's arrest and is considered an additional suspect.
