
Two Atlanta men have been arrested following a shooting incident at a private birthday celebration in Covington's Academy Springs Park, according to local authorities. Reports of gunfire during the gathering on Sunday prompted an investigation by the Covington Police Department, which subsequently led to charges against Levester Taylor of Atlanta and Dy’men Henderson of Lawrenceville. Information sourced from FOX 5 Atlanta details that the two suspects were identified and apprehended by Wednesday.
During the event, an argument is reported to have quickly escalated, resulting in Taylor allegedly firing off shots in the parking lot area. The suspects then reportedly promptly left the scene, heading back towards the Atlanta region. This incident information comes from a Facebook update posted by the Covington Police Department, citing the altercation as stemming from a domestic dispute. Taylor now faces multiple charges which include two counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a first offender, and cruelty to children in the third degree. In a similar vein, Henderson has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault, cruelty to children in the third degree, and making false statements.
