The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has taken into custody two men from Miller County on charges related to sexual offenses involving a minor. According to the official release by the GBI, Quantavious Mennette, aged 25, and Quinterious King, aged 23, both from Colquitt, GA, face multiple charges including Grooming, Child Molestation, and Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes, among others.
The investigation commenced on Monday, when the local Sheriff's Office received a tip about a 15-year-old high school student from Miller County High who may have been involved sexually with an adult male. The GBI, upon request from the sheriff's office, quickly took action. GBI agents paired with the Miller County Sheriff’s Office, conducting interviews with the victim and witnesses, which, led to the identification and questioning of Mennette and King.
Following the investigation findings, arrest warrants were obtained and both suspects were subsequently booked into the Miller County Jail. The authorities are treating the case as active and ongoing, urging anyone with information to come forward. The GBI ensures that once the investigation reaches its conclusion, the case file will be handed over to the Pataula Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
