Two individuals from Honduras have recently been indicted in Miami, charged with unlawful reentry into the United States after previous removals. According to an announcement released by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida, Marvin Wilton Max Ayala, encountered on April 1, faces his fifth indictment, while Brayan Josue Matute-Lobo, encountered on March 8, faces at least his fourth. The two cases highlight the ongoing challenges of immigration enforcement.

The indictments, under case number 25-cr-20192 for Ayala and 25-cr-20186 for Matute-Lobo, allege the men to have reentered the U.S. without inspection, admission, or parole by an immigration officer. Immigration records show Ayala was previously removed from the U.S. on several occasions spanning from 2012 to 2021, and Matute-Lobo was similarly removed multiple times between 2016 and 2016.

Both men are now being held at the Federal Detention Center (FDC) Miami, awaiting the resolution of their criminal cases. The charges were announced by U.S. Attorney Hayden O’Byrne of the Southern District of Florida and acting Field Office Director Juan Agudelo of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Enforcement Removal Operations (ICE-ERO) Prosecutions Unit Miami, as detailed by the same press release.

Special Assistant United States Attorney Melissa Roca Shaw is prosecuting the cases. Details about the cases are available on the website of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida or on the website of the District Court for the Southern District of Florida. These cases were investigated by ICE-ERO.
