
A house fire in Delray Beach last night resulted in the death of two pets and left one man seriously injured. According to a report by CBS12, the incident occurred near NE 11th Street at around 6:30 p.m.
Delray Beach Fire Rescue (DBFR) crews responded to the fire and were able to rescue a man from the burning structure. He was airlifted to a local hospital, and his condition has not been released. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, though two household pets died in the incident. The species of the animals was not specified. According to DBFR, recovery of the pets' bodies was not immediate, as efforts were prioritized on rescuing the individual, as indicated in a social media post by the department.
