
Early Sunday morning, Jackson, Tennessee was the scene of two separate shootings that shook the local community. At approximately 3:57 a.m., Jackson Police Department officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Old Hickory Boulevard after a ShotSpotter detected gunfire. According to Action News 5, they found a 39-year-old man with gunshot wounds. Tragically, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead at the scene.
Immediately following the initial incident, just down the road, another man suffered from gunshots in the 700 block of Old Hickory Boulevard. Despite the rounds of shots that were fired, only one man was found injured at the scene, as the nearby police responded to the call at hand. The injured man was swiftly taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, reported by FOX13 Memphis.
The Jackson Police Department, engaged in an ongoing investigation, has yet to disclose a potential motive or suspect information related to the violent episodes that brutalized the early hours of Sunday.
