The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced upcoming lane closures on LA 73 (Jefferson Hwy) in East Baton Rouge Parish. Starting on Friday and continuing through June 30, the eastbound outside lanes between Pine Park Dr. and Floynell Dr. will be closed for pavement, sidewalk, driveway, and drainage structure replacements.
According to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, eastbound traffic will be shifted into the center turn lane near Fleet Drive to allow crews safer access to the work zone. Westbound traffic will continue using the outside lane, while the former inside westbound lane will function as the center turn lane.
Access to Bluebonnet Rd. from Jefferson Hwy will be fully closed, but access from Bluebonnet Rd. to Bluebonnet Blvd will remain open. All construction schedules are subject to change due to weather.
