Motorists using US 90 in both directions should prepare for intermittent lane closures from Monday next week through Wednesday next week. According to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), the closures will occur between St. Martin Parish and LA 182 in Calumet from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day, weather permitting.
The lane closures are scheduled to allow crews to perform a sweeping operation to clean the highway. All permitted and oversize loads, along with emergency vehicles, will be allowed to pass but may experience delays.
Travelers are encouraged to consider alternate routes to avoid delays. Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development reminds drivers to use caution in work zones and to watch for crews and equipment.
