The search for a 73-year-old Pompano Beach man, Carlos Manuel Colon, is ongoing after he was reported missing yesterday morning. According to the Broward Sheriff's Office (BSO), Colon was last spotted in the vicinity of the 200 block of Northeast 23rd Street around 9 a.m.

Colon was described by authorities as a male standing 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighing around 150 pounds, with grey hair and brown eyes. When last seen, he wore a black shirt, red pants, and white sneakers. The BSO has issued a call to the public for any information regarding his whereabouts, particularly because Colon relies on an electric scooter for mobility.

Family members have raised concerns due to Colon's medical condition and mobility issues. WSVN reported that according to his family, Colon's partial hearing loss and diabetes could pose significant risks during his absence.

The BSO's Missing Persons Unit is leading the search effort and has encouraged anyone with information to come forward. Detective Leonard Charla of BSO is the point of contact for any leads. "Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact BSO Detective Leonard Charla at 954-321-4274 or the BSO non-emergency number at 954-764-4357," said the authorities, according to Local10.com
