The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) is gearing up for a bustling weekend, hosting back-to-back commencement ceremonies for a substantial class of more than 3,000 students, as reported by UTEP Newsfeed. The celebrations, recognizing the achievements of undergrads and advanced degree candidates alike, are scheduled to unfold at the Don Haskins Center this Saturday and Sunday, marking a key milestone for these individuals and the institution.
The jam-packed weekend will commence with a 1 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, May 17, dedicated to the College of Health Sciences and College of Nursing graduates; later the same day at 6 p.m., the College of Science, Woody L. Hunt College of Business, and the School of Pharmacy will take the stage, this event will not only celebrate an impressive number of graduates but also herald the inaugural commencement of the Doctor of Occupational Therapy program. The following day, Sunday, May 18, the College of Liberal Arts graduates will have their moment at 1 p.m., and the day will conclude with the College of Education and College of Engineering at 6 p.m., as detailed by UTEP News.
No tickets are required for admission, allowing friends and families to freely join in on the festivities, although guests can start filling seats one hour before each commencement.
