In a recent bulletin issued by the Vacaville Police Department, a harrowing incident involving two stolen moving vans was successfully resolved. The ordeal began when a victim, midway through relocating, stopped for a night's rest at a hotel only to find their moving van had been stolen by the morning. Left with nothing but the shattered remnants of their vehicle's window, hope seemed elusive until the Vacaville Police's Community Service Officers (CSO) intervened.

As one CSO worked diligently on filing the report for the first stolen van, another investigated the theft of a second moving van with the assistance of city cameras that captured its last known direction. The pursuit led to the discovery of the second van and additional vehicles harboring items from the first stolen van. According to the Vacaville Police Department's social media post, their vigilance culminated in the apprehension of two individuals, Joseph Welding and Amani Commers, who were found in possession of the now-recovered property, burglary tools, and suspected methamphetamine.

Further investigation revealed that Mr. Welding, a 31-year-old Vacaville resident, had three outstanding warrants for charges including burglary, assault, and a PRCS violation. Both suspects, the latter being a 46-year-old from Fairfield, were consequently booked into the Solano County Jail, facing multiple felony charges such as burglary, vehicle theft, possession of stolen property, and conspiracy.
