Last evening's street racing incident in Vacaville had dire consequences for unsuspecting motorists on Peabody Road near Cliffside Dr. According to a social media post by the Vacaville Police Department, a black Mustang and a Corvette engaged in an illegal speed contest that ended in a violent collision after the Mustang's driver failed to navigate a turn and smashed into two other vehicles.
The accident, reported just after 8 PM, resulted in a cascade of debris from the shattered glass and plastic, causing significant property damage. One victim, caught in the chaos, required hospitalization. In the aftermath, the 22-year-old driver of the Mustang, a Vacaville resident, was arrested and charged with street racing and reckless driving, as mentioned in the police department's post. His vehicle was impounded for 30 days due to his decision.
