A 25-year-old man from Florida was killed in a hit-and-run incident in Cape Cod over the weekend. According to the Wellfleet Police Department, officers were called to Ocean View Drive near Long Pond Road at approximately 11:30 p.m. yesterday, where they found the man lying in the road, as reported by Fall River Reporter.
Despite life-saving efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released pending family notification.
According to NBC Boston, authorities believe the driver fled the scene in a pickup truck or SUV with front-end damage. The vehicle has not yet been located.
