
A Glendale neighborhood was startled Friday night as flames engulfed a home near 43rd and Dunlap avenues, with fire crews rushing to the scene to combat the blaze and rescue a resident. According to ABC15, first responders arrived to find the house alight and managed to extract a woman from the inferno, who was then promptly transported, in critical condition, to the hospital for urgent medical care.
The incident, which dispatched firefighters to a residential area late into the evening, led to a swift intervention that averted further harm or damage to adjacent properties, ensuring that no additional injuries were reported. Fire officials were able to keep the fire from spreading to other nearby buildings. The woman is believed to be the sole occupant of the residence, as per the responding firefighters. Additionally, AZ Family shared that the Glendale Fire Department has not yet determined what ignited the fire. The investigation is ongoing.
