
An unsettling incident unfolded in north Phoenix when police discovered a woman with a gunshot wound in a reported stolen vehicle. Phoenix Police were summoned to the locale of 7th Street and Union Hills Drive shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Monday, following reports of a shooting. According to the Phoenix Police Department obtained by FOX 10 Phoenix, officers arrived to find "an adult female inside a vehicle suffering from at least one gunshot wound."
Initially deemed life-threatening, the woman's injuries were later downgraded to non-life-threatening, 12News reports. Despite this fortunate turn, the woman continues her recovery in the hospital.
The vehicle, confirmed stolen within the Phoenix area, became a focal point of the ongoing investigation. No arrests have been reported as the investigation remains active, with law enforcement piecemeal assembling the narrative of what transpired that night.
