
A woman's body was found over the weekend in the parking lot of the Gin Creek area, part of the Big Sandy Wildlife Management Area in Henry County. The Henry County Sheriff's Office received a report of a possible body, and deputies confirmed the discovery upon arrival.
WKRN reports that the body was found yesterday morning on Copper Springs Road. As the investigation continues, Henry County authorities have not released details about the victim, including her age or the condition of her remains. According to the Henry County Sheriff's Office, next of kin notification is reportedly pending.
Sheriff Josh Frey stated, "This is believed to be an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the public," as reported by WSMV.
To assist in the investigation, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the 24th Judicial District Attorney's Office have been brought in.
