
A shooting in the Central West End has claimed the life of a young man early this morning. Police were called to the intersection of Washington and North Sarah around 2:45 a.m., where they found 25-year-old Justin Woods suffering from gunshot wounds, lying in the 600 block of N. Sarah.
Despite rapid response from emergency medical services, Woods, a local resident of the 4000 block of Cook Avenue was pronounced dead, at the scene. Homicide detectives have taken up the case, attempting to piece together the events leading up to the fatal shooting.
