A fatal collision between a motorcycle and a car in Butler County claimed the life of a 20-year-old motorcyclist late Sunday night. Fairfield Police responded to the scene at the intersection of South Gilmore Road and Pepper Ridge Road shortly before 11 p.m., according to a report by LOCAL12.
The young motorcyclist, later identified as Hunter Lee Douglas Miller of Hamilton, was taken to Mercy Fairfield Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The cause of death was multiple blunt traumatic injuries, as detailed by the Butler County Coroner's Office in a report shared by WCPO. The collision continues to remain under investigation, with police yet to fully determine and to officially release what led up to the crash.
FOX19 reported that the tragic incident occurred a little after 10:45 p.m., and first responders were promptly dispatched to the accident site. No other injuries have been reported at this time, and the Fairfield Police Department has not disclosed the identity of the driver of the sedan involved in the collision.
The circumstances leading to the precise moment when the lives of Miller and the other vehicle's driver intersected tragically continue to be pieced together.
