
A fatal collision in Barrio Logan has claimed the life of a 24-year-old male driver early this morning, according to the San Diego Police Department. The incident occurred at 2:04 AM on 1200 Harbor Drive when the driver, behind the wheel of a 2023 Ford F150, burst through road closure barriers at Park Blvd and Harbor Drive.
The vehicle slammed into the rear of an unoccupied forklift in the number 1 lane. Sgt Nilsen, the watch commander, confirmed that the man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Two passengers who were in the truck at the time of the collision managed to escape with minor injuries. They were swiftly transported to UCSD Hospital, where they currently receive care. Their conditions are not considered life-threatening, and their identities have not been disclosed.
