Atlanta authorities are increasing their efforts to catch a killer, offering a $5,000 reward for tips leading to an indictment in a cold-blooded homicide that took place in the southwest part of the city. The fatal shooting occurred at the Bolden Village Apartments, located on the 2900 block of Springdale Road, as FOX 5 Atlanta reports. The victim, identified as 36-year-old Junior Bowen, was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds in the patio area last Wednesday.

Atlanta Police Department began its investigation into the crime after receiving a call around 11 p.m. from a neighbor who reported hearing gunfire. Investigators believe Bowen, who was shot inside an apartment, made his way to the patio before succumbing to his injuries. Although the tragedy shattered the tranquility of what residents described to FOX 5 as a "typically quiet community," the motive and the events leading up to Bowen's death remain a mystery.

Adding to the shock, neighbors confirmed that Bowen didn't reside at the complex. Nevertheless, some residents claimed to have seen him in the area, which raises questions about the nature of his presence there. As one neighbor told FOX 5, "No one knows who lives over here. That’s the main thing.”

The case is being rigorously pursued by Atlanta police, who, alongside Crime Stoppers, are extending a reward up to $5,000 for any information that could lead to an arrest. The public can submit tips anonymously through various means, including calling Crime Stoppers at (404) 577-8477 or texting CRIMES (274637). According to a separate report by Atlanta News First, the investigation is still "ongoing", as no suspects have been identified in this case.

Citizens are encouraged to come forward with any information they may have.
