Described as a bold attempt to snatch a bottle of alcohol, the situation escalated when a store clerk was threatened with a gun after confronting the trio about the theft.
According to the APD, the incident took place late in the evening, around 9:32 p.m., when the women attempted to steal the liquor. The situation turned dire when one woman brandished a firearm and menacingly warned the clerk she might just pull the trigger. This distressing encounter ended as the suspects swiftly left the scene, disappearing into the night aboard what appeared to quickly be a gray Cadillac, as described in a statement obtained by WSBTV.
In response to these events, the APD has leveled charges of aggravated assault against the individuals and is now releasing images of the suspects to garner public assistance. The department encourages anyone with information to come forward and has maintained that all tips can be shared anonymously. Police have also announced a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest in this case, tapping into community vigilance to aid in their investigation.
