The Baltimore police have released the name of a victim in a recent Father's Day shooting in Northeast Baltimore. According to FOX Baltimore, 32-year-old Derone Jones was killed last Saturday in the 5300 block of Frankford Avenue. The incident was one of multiple shootings in the city over the weekend, raising concerns over gun violence in the area.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting around 11:38 p.m. at the intersection of Frankford Avenue and Sinclair Lane, where they found evidence of a crime scene. Baltimore Witness reports that, shortly afterward, a shooting victim had sought medical treatment at a local hospital. Despite the medical staff's attempts to save him, Jones succumbed to his injuries. The homicide detectives are now leading the investigation into the shooting.
