WWLTV reports that the incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. at the 3500 block of Choctaw Drive near the Acadian intersection, where an initial altercation between women escalated after men began shooting.
Details released by Baton Rouge Police Chief TJ Morse confirmed officers discovered over 160 bullet casings at the scene of the shootout, and while one person was detained, a mother now grieves for her daughter Prenesha Wagner, who lost her life in the gunfire, according to WBRZ, the mother is asking for answers and for those with information to come forward, a tragic reminder that the toll of such events reaches far beyond the immediate chaos.
