The Bloomington Police Department reported receiving a distress call at 6:45 AM concerning the incident. Responding officers discovered a male victim, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and lying on the ground near a residential driveway.
Spectators at the scene were reportedly trying to render aid to the victim. Interviews suggest there was an altercation involving a group of males who had been gathered in the driveway. The confrontation swiftly turned violent, culminating in one of the individuals brandishing a handgun and firing multiple shots at the victim. The alleged gunman, along with two others, fled the scene immediately after the shooting.
