Officers from Boston’s District E-5 recently participated in a community lemonade stand to support a young girl named Lexi, who is battling a rare form of brain cancer. The event took place outside the district’s police station and was organized as a show of support for Lexi and her family.
According to the Boston Police Department's official news portal, Captain Michael Hegarty and other officers joined community members in the effort, helping to run the lemonade stand and raise awareness. The department noted that they were inspired by Lexi’s strength and appreciated the involvement of residents from West Roxbury and Roslindale.
The lemonade stand brought together police officers and local residents to offer support and raise funds, reflecting a community-wide response to Lexi’s situation.
