
The Boston Police Department is currently seeking assistance from the public to identify a man connected to an aggravated assault case in Dorchester. The reported incident took place at a local laundromat on 471 Blue Hill Avenue on the morning of last Tuesday, as stated in a community alert issued by the Boston Police Department. The authorities have shared images of the suspect and are asking for anyone who can identify him to come forward.
The assault, happening around 10:40 a.m., was discerned after the victim, a woman using the laundromat's facilities, stepped outside momentarily. Upon her return, she discovered an unknown man sifting through her belongings. The suspect brandished a knife and threatened her when she confronted him. Described as a light-skinned Hispanic male, around 5’7” tall with a slim build and short black hair, the suspect was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans, and has tattoos on both forearms visible to the searching eye.
As reported by the Boston Police Department, detectives from District B-2 (Roxbury) are delving into the incident, encouraging anyone with relevant information to directly contact their team at (617) 343-4275. The department assures that the identity of individuals providing tips will be held in strict confidence.
In a bid to gather more information, the Boston Police Department is also open to receiving anonymous tips. Community members are urged to either call the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1-800-494-TIPS, send a text message with the word "TIP" to CRIME (27463), or submit online via the CrimeStoppers website. They have reiterated that all avenues for tips can guarantee the informant's anonymity, including when photos or videos that may be relevant to the investigation are submitted.
