The department's plea for public assistance was broadcast through a Facebook post, where they shared key details of the 16-year-old's description, including her height at 5’4” and a weight of 110 pounds, along with her blue eyes and brown hair.
Although specifics regarding the circumstances of Oquendo's disappearance are currently not disclosed, the Police underscored the urgency of getting the word out and rallying the community's support, stating that "every share counts — let’s bring her home safe." Public involvement is often crucial in cases of missing youths, as prompt and widespread sharing of information can significantly increase the chances of a safe return.
