The Brigham City Police Department has released additional details regarding the human remains found in a trash bag back in April, as reported by ABC4. The police now know the remains belong to a woman, aged between 30 to 50, of European descent, and between 60 to 66 inches tall. They continue to treat the case as a homicide and are awaiting DNA results from a private lab.

The body was discovered on April 2, just before 2 p.m., near 2600 West Highway 13 by railroad workers, who initially mistook the bag for trash. According to KUTV, the woman's attire included an "Original Cold Storage" hoodie, a long-sleeved V-neck shirt, black leggings, and black socks. Police have also shared a photo of a distinctive heart-shaped tattoo on the deceased's left bicep in efforts to aid in her identification.

As investigators work to give a name to the victim, the significance of the tattoo and her clothing may be keys to unlocking her identity. "It's definitely somebody's loved one, and to have them discarded like this is just unfathomable for me," Detective Crystal Beck with the Brigham City Police Department told FOX13. She added, "I can't imagine taking someone that I cared deeply about and putting them in a bag."
